New York City for Thanksgiving: Part II

Day II-Another gorgeous day, another bagel (so good.)
We started off this day of site seeing with the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I love, love, love art and museums are my fave. So art museums? Fabulous. Job was so excited to see the Golden Harpsichord in person (it's a music nerd thing apparently).
Impressionist paintings are some of my favorite so we enjoyed that beautiful section of the museum for the longest. In addition we went and saw the cool Egyptian exhibit they have there. The museum itself is a work of art, some of the rooms are gorgeous!

Next we did some more soulful gazing in Central Park. I just can't get enough of it.
Battery Park to take a look at our lady liberty was next. We didn't have time for a ferry ride over, but she was pretty from afar. I love what she represents.
Battery Park also has some great skyline views of the city.
We took a look at the Brooklyn Bridge and got to see some street performers who's main talent was asking for more and more money. I think they made a clean sweep that day. Maybe Job and I could have a future in street performing?!
Bleecker Street Pizza in the West Village was so yum. Plain cheese was our favorite believe it or not so if you go there make sure to get a slice. Something about the spices they put on it...I'm in love.
Magnolia Bakery for dessert thankssomuch (Red velvet and German chocolate. Since you asked). We were happy food lovers that day.
The West Village also reminded me of Newbury Street here in Boston. I kept expecting Beyonce and her belly to walk by shopping or something.

So there you have it, our Thanksgiving 2011 trip to NYC. I'm already looking forward to next year :)

  1. I have a picture of me next to the golden harpsichord too! Or, I took one to send to Job or Mel or something. I had a lot of fun in that part of the Met, they were doing an organ concert when we were there, it was AWESOME!!! :)
