Boston Marathon 2014

The Boston Marathon was extra special this year coming off of last year's events. It was like the whole city had extra energy and support brewing for days, even weeks beforehand. Job and I took the day off to cheer on not only the runners, but the city as a whole. And it was a successful, beautiful day.
We got there early to grab a spot at mile 26. I love to see the wheelchair participants first; they are motivating, and inspiring to me. M. 26 was a great place to watch as the participants were pushing themselves to the very end down by Copley. It was fun to be able to cheer them on as they did their victory sprint.
After watching for a few hours, we wandered down the route watching some more and enjoying the beautiful Spring day. There were thousands of people cheering and making noise, but it felt peaceful in a way.
Happy Patriot's day Boston!

After we were inspired by people in peak physical health....we went and ate grossly over-sized hamburgers ;) They were good.

But also, we should run a marathon some day Job.

  1. I'm so glad to hear the Boston Marathon was a safe and successful event this year. Also, that hamburger looks amazing!
