December 19th was our 1st Wedding Anniversary. See this post for some of the big things that happened this year.
The 19th fell on a Sunday this year so we didn't go out that day, but we still had fun! Job woke me up with some sweet gifts and kisses. I was a happy girl :)
Job played his violin in a church in Belmont that Sunday so that is what we did most of the morning. When we got home
We just change so much each year don't we?! ;) We still pass for high schoolers in most places actually. It's a gift and a curse ;)
The happy couple :D
And then some bloopers.....
FAIL!
There we go :)
We changed into our comfy clothes and just chilled the rest of the day. Job made us some delish pizza for lunch!
I made our anniversary dinner. (there were activities in-between lunch and dinner, just to clarify.... ;)
In the background there you might be able to see some paper origami flowers. The traditional first year gift is paper so I spent way too long one night folding a bunch of paper tulips. But they are fun and will last for a while as a reminder of our first year :)
I love you too!
The killer chocolate cake Job surprised me with. (Job didn't make this, but if you saw my 19th birthday cheesecake Job made me you would know he can make some amazing looking deserts ;)
Later that evening we watched a photo slideshow I made that included our dating days up to the current time. It was really fun to reminisce and look back at our time together. Happy days!
The next day was our day to go out. Job did some research earlier that month and decided to take me to this amazing little seafood place right on the harbor called No Name Restaurant and has been running since 1917. It is on Fish Pier in East Boston and apparently is a favorite spot for locals. Well it is now a favorite spot for these locals :) We enjoyed a freshly steamed lobster, seafood chowder, scallops and shrimp. It was so fun to experience my first lobster, enjoy the view from out table, and chat while we chowed down.
Bibs and everything!
Our little beauty.
The view from our table. We kept getting huge Seagulls right up at the window that were fun to watch :)
Digging right in!
This photo wins 3rd place for the most awkward/embarrassing photos of this month. The first two are just too darn awkward to share so enjoy this one ;)
We loved this little place and are definitely planning on going back for our next seafood craving.
On the way home it started snowing. The first snow of the season in Boston so consequently the whole city shut down and it took us over three hours to get the 5 miles home. Haha that took up most of the rest of our day ;)
We had a wonderful anniversary just enjoying being together. I am so grateful that we are both healthy, happy, and even more in love.
You mean next time WE are coming with you too. We are back by the way so if you want to do anything.... hint hint
ReplyDelete"Activities" between lunch and dinner?!? Rach, we don't need to know that you and Job...have "activities". Gosh. ;)
ReplyDeleteHeck yes Jessica! We are totally up for doing something!
ReplyDeleteBecca: haha I knew you would pick up on that ;) It was just for you. I tried to keep it clean for the kids.... ;)
