Irene just teased us a little here in Boston. We got more of a tropical storm than anything else and it just hit us for a while on Sunday. Apparently she changed her mind (and route) and headed to Western Mass. But regardless of severity we still hunkered down all day Sunday and enjoyed ourselves. Games, music, movies, reading, comfort food, the works. We did walk down to the Beach after the rain was gone and it was amazing the difference just 2 or 3 blocks can make! The wind was
crazy down there, there were tree branches everywhere, and a big boat washed up on the beach. Makes me glad we don't live right ON the beach. A couple blocks away is close enough ;)
Job and I also decided that our preparation was not in vain. Gathering extra water, food, candles, and flashlights for Irene just made us that much more prepared for when another storm decides to hit.
