On the 4th date of Christmas my true love and I....
Prepared and delivered our 12 days of Christmas box to a family we know.
Background: It was a tradition in my family growing up to have 12 little gifts corresponding to each day in the song 'The Twelve Days of Christmas'. Then on each of the 12 days before Christmas we would stealthily deliver a gift to a family's doorstep, ring the bell, and then drive away like we robbed a bank. It is so fun!
Back to Boston: It is trickier to do it here in Boston because 1) most people live in apartment building with intercoms you have to be buzzed into. That would ruin the surprise. And 2) people really would think we were robbing something if we were sneaking around in the dark and driving away quickly. It just wouldn't work in our neighbourhood ;)
So we improvised and did one big box full of 12 gifts for the family and left it on their step. It was fun to get it all ready and I hope they liked it! :) (and I hope they don't read this so it stays a secret ;)
