We found one! After much searching and going way over our initial planned budget, we found a really nice place close to the school Job is working at. It is secure, clean, and close. What more could we ask for :) It is unfurnished though so it is pretty funny to see our poor empty apartment. We have a little table and chairs and that is about it.
I soon realized that finding a place was just half the battle. There is so much to go through to sign a lease and get everything set up. The utility places here have been....a little less than helpful. But we worked through it all and are now so grateful and happy to have hot water, a stove that works, internet for our classes etc... :D I will have to put up a picture we took of our first meal together in our apartment (ordered out since there was still no gas for the stove ;)
Most of all we are just grateful to have each other in this endeavor. It seems like anything is possible when your best friend is helping you along the way.
It's so true! Having your best friend there with you makes life so much more enjoyable...and the prospect of an unfurnished house more endurable! :) I know what that's like. Congrats Rachael!
