Taaake me out to the Boston Pops

Because I am not able to access pictures from my trip/graduations/important stuff, I am putting off blogging the big stuff to bring you another date night post. Because I love date night. Have you noticed yet?

Job asked me out on this week's date and took me to sports night and Dropkick Murphys at the Pops last night.

 (I really don't even know what's with that JVD looking thing going on. ew.)

Let's be real, I am not a hugely athletic or sporty person myself, but I love to go to live sporting events, I always get a little emotional at the olympics, Boston marathon, etc... and plus, living in Boston has made me loyal to the awesome teams here.  So this was a really fun night to celebrate the amazing teams Boston has and some great athletes that have come out of this city. And of course, enjoy the fantastic music.

And I really loved it because I got to hold Job's hand, sing 'Sweet Caroline' with my hands in the air, and watch people scrambling all over symphony hall to catch flying t-shirts.

Some cruising around with the moon roof open, nachos, and an episode of Fresh Prince added a nice finishing touch to the evening.

Date night well done lover, I now must attempt to come up with something awesome for next week's date. Be prepared for awesomeness.

Job's recital

I have neglected to document a very important moment in Job's life and academic career. Bad wife. I haven't forgotten I just keep putting it off. Along with about 20 other posts I need to write.

So now, I present to you, Job's Graduate Violin Recital

First off, I can't find a digital copy of one, but Job and a friend of his made these awesome invitations which he passed out to friends and community members. He took this whole recital very seriously and worked so hard. He gave about 5 pre-concerts at senior centers, churches, community centers etc... and passed out invites there too. As a result the recital hall was packed to the brim with so many people who appreciate his talent. It was a great feeling.

This recital was in December, and now he has just graduated with his Masters!! Woohoo, special post about that coming right up.

Twelve dates of Christmas: Date Eight

On the eigth date of Christmas my true love, my sister, and I....

Went to see the Boston Ballet perform the nutcracker! They were amazing to say the least, and it was definitely a fun way to get in the Christmas mood.

Before the show we hopped on by Sam LaGrassa's (remember, the world's greatest sandwiches?! :) Did not disappoint, that's for sure.

I mean, come on, just look at that happy face :) I sure love that guy!

Our "Bachelor" date

Except there were not 24 other girls, and we didn't fly in a helicopter. But last night Job took me on a date to Tanglewood and it was just amazing. Here are some reasons how Job gave Brad a run for his money:

-We didn't have a helicopter but we did drive there in a fancy car (our '92 Honda, heck to the yeah!)
-The wind was in our face a la convertible style (our AC broke and we rolled down the windows)
-We drove through the lovely Berkshires area in Western Mass which has amazing scenery.
-Indulged in a beautiful picnic on the Tanglewood grounds which included artichokes, lobster dip, hummus, fresh fruit, European chocolate and other tasty morsels. (what do they eat on the Bachelor? I would like to know...)
-Had a private (we just invited a couple thousand close friends to join us) concert by some amazing names in film and music. It was film night at Tanglewood so the Boston Pops were playing, John Williams was conducting, Morgan Freeman narrated, and Gil Shaham was the soloist. How's that for a roundup of total studs?! I loved the movie montages they showed on the big screens while the film music was playing. So fun!
-Got to cuddle in a blanket the whole time while candles flickered all around us.
-Once we got home we had a fantasy suite all to ourselves... ;)

So eat your heart out ABC. When I see this exact date replicated on the next season I will know why. It was the perfect mix of "real life" and "magical fairy tale".

Job, I love you. It was seriously such a wonderful, romantic date and I enjoyed it immensely. You are the best.

I want to catch up on blogging but between not having our own computer to upload our fun pictures onto and then me dropping our camera into the ocean getting the last precious few pictures on the memory card most likely ruined (I know...let's not talk about it.) I just haven't gotten to finishing any posts. Hopefully soon :) Because I've got some big news (well, at least for us) to share but I just want to hold out for pictures. Come oooooonnnn memory card, you can do it, dry!
